About the System Analyst III (US-Remote) Position 

 Our Application Support team are responsible for the support and maintenance of business-critical applications build in-house developed on AWS for tablets, batch processing and web application.

You will be working closely with Service Management and Support team members, utilizing the core ITIL principles in Change, Release, Incident and Problem management as well as supporting the successful delivery of new applications into the production environment.

Knowledge and Expertise Needed for the System Analyst III (US-Remote) Position:

  • Supporting hosted applications preferably in AWS;
  • A strong analytical mindset;
  • Clear communicator;
  • Proven ability to work successfully with colleagues and clients in a high-pressure situation;
  • Positive attitude and customer focus with excellent time management skills;
  • Willingness to share knowledge and build a supportive culture;
  • Ability and willingness to research best practices, adjust as appropriate and implement within a new environment;
  • Drive teams continual service improvement objectives: identify repeat incidents and highlight potential process improvements
  • Oversee third-party application support team providing resolution of application issues for users, partnering with the Service Desk and other technology support teams as required.

System Analyst III (US-Remote) Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science / MIS or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Experience as a Support Analyst working in a complex environment
  • High level of initiative with the ability to deal with multiple projects simultaneously with conflicting priorities.
  • Defining and managing a set of metrics vital to supervising the support and application experience for clients. These should include both ticketing and application environment metrics (such as up-time, page load times etc);
  • Working with the wider business to ensure SLAs are being met and are reasonably defined in contracts;
  • Effectively manage and prioritize requests or incidents using service now tickets Where necessary work with the wider Development and IT Support teams to ensure all key personnel are available;

Technical Expertise:

Datadog monitoring, AWS, Java, NodeJS, spring-boot, Javascript, Angular, React JS, JASON Glue, EC2, ECS, MySQL, SOAP, microservice, DynamoDB, RDS, Redshift, SQS Serverless compute ( Lambda), CI/CD, code commit, cloud formation, application scaling, Application Support
