Position: Sr. Dir Global Business Dev, Strategy and Marketing
DUTIES: Develops a comprehensive internal and external strategy plan for growth of new business as well as retention across all First Transit Operating segments. Upholds the mission, values, and vision established by the Company, the President, and the SVP of Global Business Development and Marketing. Responsible for overall sales pipeline development and overall leadership for the organization that supports sales and business development efforts of the First Transit business in North America, Puerto Rico, and other international markets. Manages the Marketing Department, overseeing the branding, website, and social media for the company. Directs and develops the Sales team in all aspects of a world class sales function and service delivery optimization in autonomous vehicles and non-emergency medical transportation segments. Builds and maintains relationships with key decision-makers and influencers, both externally and internally. Plans and attends industry trade shows and events. Secures new business and retention goals based on FY budgeted growth expectations decided between the Sr. Director and SVP. Attends and negotiates with prospective clients with the company’s best interests in mind. Assists SVP with corporate strategy of growth internationally and with emerging trends in autonomous vehicles and non-emergency medical transportation. Assists SVP with reporting and presentations regarding business development for shareholder meetings and global corporate presentations. Assists Business Development team with salesforce environment, data analytics, and financial tools. Supervises approximately 5 sales, marketing, and Business Support professionals as well as all sales efforts in Puerto Rico. International and domestic travel required approximately up to 75% of the time (10% international / 65% domestic).
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Economics, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related business field and 5 years related (progressive, post-baccalaureate) experience. The 5 years related experience must include 2 years of experience in the transportation sector. Must also have 2 years of experience with each of the following: 1) Establishing strategies for profitable market entry, tendering, and acquisition opportunities for a global company; 2) Negotiating multi-million-dollar transportation contracts; 3) Developing complex financial and operational bid models; 4) Developing plans and launching corporate business development initiatives to acquire and retain customers; 5) Managing a team of business development associates; and 6) Performing market research to qualify new business opportunities, including analysis of customer budgets, capabilities required, and competitive environment assessments. All experience may have been gained concurrently. Pre-employment drug testing and background check required. Salary: $187,387 to $205,000/year.
