First Transit is looking for Schedulers in Atlanta, GA to review, revise, and produce final driver manifests for next day door-to-door ADA transportation service. Our Schedulers are responsible for:

• Learns and assists in performing the following technical duties 
• Develops and revises bus operating schedules according to guidelines and other available 
  schedule data 
• Develops Operator’s work-runs/tours in accordance with labor agreements  
• Utilizes computer software to assist in the development of schedules, work-runs/tours, 
  vehicle hour, mileage, and patronage statistics 
• Develops and maintains statistical records regarding schedules, personnel requirements, 
  and equipment requirements 
• Prepares, orders, and proofreads schedule materials prior to publication 
• Analyzes and responds in writing to operations personnel and patron complaint letters 
  recommended changes 
• Participates in test trips of new or revised transit routes 
• Responsible for maintaining, supporting, and promoting a safe work environment while 
  complying with all of FIRST TRANSIT’s safety rules, policies, and procedures

To qualify as a Scheduler, you'll need:

• A High School Diploma or GED.
• A valid CDL with Passenger Endorsement (or CDL with N1 restriction)
• To be subject to a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• Manipulate and analyze data using arithmetic formulas and detailed procedures 
• Perform arithmetic and basic statistical calculations rapidly and accurately 
• Read and understand rules, policies, maps, and schedules 
• Operate a calculator 
• Utilize computer software 
• Set priorities under close deadlines 
• Communicate effectively orally and in writing
