Region Finance Manager

Provides financial support to operations for assigned geographic area.  Protects and monitors company assets and analyzes operating results.  Supports regional and area management in forecasting, budgeting, month end review and contract analysis.  Assists with the interpretation and implementation of the company’s accounting policies and procedures.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Prepares monthly, year-to-date and year-end financial reporting, including variance and trend analysis of results to budget, prior year and forecast.
  • Prepares forecasts and annual budgets for all operational/functional units in assigned area.
  • Prepares financial models for contract analysis and rate calculations and ensures reasonableness of financial assumptions.
  • Reviews and monitors fleet, including cascading, right sizing, and lost business transitions. Reviews and assists with capital requests.
  • Ensures integrity of financial reporting and performs reconciliation of internal accounts.
  • Identifies trends and developments in competitive environments and presents findings to area and region management.
  • Reports headcount, fleet management, and key performance indicators to support operational performance.
  • Performs location level audits of accounting transactions and procedures to ensure compliance with IFRS and company policies.  Makes recommendations and ensures that corrective actions are taken.
  • Trains and assists location personnel in the region’s accounting systems and procedures.  Conducts training sessions to raise financial competency of location and other management as needed.
  • Performs special projects and analysis, prepares various reports for operations and other management as necessary.
  • Makes recommendations based on audits performed.
  • Analyzes operating results.
  • Travel 10% - 20% of the time

Desired Skills and Experience:                      

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience required
  • CPA, CMA or MBA desirable
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years experience in accounting/finance
  • Experience in financial modeling and accounting theory
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with all levels of personnel
  • Personal computer/software skills
