Operations Support Manager

About the Position

This is a remote position that supports field operations/locations to improve operational performance and efficiency by leveraging technology and industry best practices. Addresses operational issues and concerns, troubleshooting, and conducting corrective measures, all while adhering to the company's policies and regulations.

  • Plans and conducts location operational assessments, ensuring locations are following company policies and procedures as well as federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Team up with location managers (and regional leadership where appropriate) to assist in the development of action plans addressing specific operational concerns/challenges. Follow up, support, and report on the progress of action plans as required/directed.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert and support resource and advises local and regional team members on best practices and opportunities to improve performance and operational efficiency.
  • Assists in the management, delivery, and monitoring of LEAN Operations.
  • Assists with on-site work, location startups, and closedowns as required to support local & regional team members
  • Reviews TMS Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and suggests improvements where applicable
  • Reviews operational policies and processes and recommends improvements where applicable
  • Creates technology vendor Task Orders/SOWs in support of location needs and future business opportunities as assigned
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of emerging technology trends and developments in areas of interest to the business.
  • Submits regular activity and progress reports as required. Provides feedback on the products deployed and tools implemented or supported in the field.
  • Other duties assigned.


  • 8+ Years of hands-on public transportation operations & management experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of successfully managing a multitude of transit services
  • Competency in troubleshooting operational challenges and delivering positive results
  • Superb leadership and motivational skills
  • Preferred high-level knowledge of one or more Transportation Management Software systems (TMS)
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-task environment
  • Effective at working in a virtual environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office
