Quality Assurance Inspector

First Vehicle Services is seeking Quality Assurance Inspectors to provide oversight of two facilities where FVS will provide cleaning, detailing and minor repairs on a fleet of over 270 transit buses on a nightly basis, seven days per week. The Quality Assurance Inspector will ensure that all safety protocols, federal, state, and local laws and regulations are followed and that the staff performs facility and vehicle maintenance at the highest standard.

Quality Assurance Inspector major responsibilities

• Accountability for all service functions
• Responsible for credibility of appropriate information on service reports
• Provides high quality services to the fleet in a timely basis
• Develops, implements, and maintains team concept for maintenance staff
• Manages work load
• Achieves and maintains performance goals
• Meets EPA requirements and operate the facility area within health and safety laws for local, state and federal laws and regulation
• Meets all DOT, OSHA and state regulations
• Ensures duties are performed properly and vehicles meet appropriate safety standards
• Maintains a professional staff and facility appearance
• Evaluates and counsels staff
• Pursues and achieves quality and leadership concepts to establish FVS as the preferred employer
• Provides recommendations as needed to build and maintain an exemplary, clean and orderly service facility
• Ensures security of the service facilities
• Satisfies all appropriate reporting commitments on time
• Initiates and maintains monitoring and reporting system to satisfy performance requirements                    
• Maintains customer service excellence

Quality Assurance Inspector qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred
• 2 years of managerial and/or supervisory experience
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing (in English) at a technical and professional level
• Experience working in a customer service environment
• Experience with management information system preferred
• Subject to Pre-employment Physical and Drug Screen, and Background Records check
