Human Resources Coordinator

Our Human Resources Coordinator assists and supports management team/leadership team with full cycle recruiting and other HR duties.

Human Resources Coordinator major responsibilities:

  • Receives and process applications and schedule interviews.  Completes all EEO/AAP logs related to new applicants.
  • Monitor and assist managers/supervisors with hiring processes and issues.
  • Creates and maintains all employee current and history files according to company policy. Submits changes affecting each.  Periodically audits files.
  • Calculates driver/staff payroll and input payroll information into the computer for processing.  Accurately tracks attendance for employees.  Maintains an accurate driver seniority list.
  • Processes new employee files/records and submits to the Contract Manager for approval. Once approved, submits all appropriate paperwork to the region accounting office. 
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with the company standards as required by the needs of the company.
  • Comply with and ensure adherence to the company’s standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient operations.
  • Assist employees with internal and external transfer requests and procedures.  
  • Coordinate and conduct applicant drug screens reference checks background checks motor vehicle checks and social security number verification.
  • Maintain applicant flow drug screen orientation and transfer request logs.
  • Monitor all hiring and recruitment processes for compliance with all local state and federal laws and company policies and standards.
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of all employee records and files (e.g. interview documents I-9's). Support processing and maintenance of payroll records in accordance with policies and procedures as necessary. Inform Human Resources management of issues related to employee relations within the division or property.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Region Human Resources Coordinator requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required with at least 2 years of Human Resources experience.
  • College course work in related field helpful
  • Familiarity with and knowledge of basic Human Resources.
  • Proficient with Windows operating systems (Word Excel and Power point etc.
  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
  • Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
  • Must routinely meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to multitask.
  • Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating preventing identifying and solving problems as necessary.
  • Must have the ability to assimilate complex information data etc. from disparate sources and consider adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need.
  • Must be effective at listening to understanding clarifying and resolving the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests.
