Dispatch Supervisor (Afternoon/Midnight Shift)

*CDL B license Required* 

First Transit operates shuttle bus services at DTW Airport, and we're hiring driver supervisors now!  As a supervisor you will oversee a fun dynamic work environment where our drivers provide a safe, on-time and friendly shuttle services for employees of a major airline at the Detroit Metro Airport.  Working with our management team, you will verify the safety and on time delivery of services.  You’ll interact with our drivers and customers to insure the continued success of our shuttle.  You’ll be a part of our highly successful and supportive team to provide our airline customers safe and dependable transportation every day. 

Transportation is delivered 24 hours a day, seven days a week, so hours may vary.

Our Dispatchers are responsible for:

•  Oversees road service assigned carriers by tracking trip performance measures, route begin on time, 
  performance, incidents, etc. 
• Provides customer support by responding to questions and concerns regarding customer trips 
  including no shows, cancellations and missed trips.
• Manages emergency situations for vehicle operators; act as liaison between the carrier and 
  emergency services. 
• Manages daily service by reviewing route performance and proactively responding to situations that 
  impact customer service

To qualify as a Dispatcher, you’ll need:

• CDL B license Required 
• High school diploma or equivalent 
• Technical degree preferred
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills. 
• Problem solving and analytical abilities. 
• Excellent customer service skills
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Possess a current valid driver’s license
• Able to obtain a CDL with Air Brake and Passenger endorsements
• Have at least 3 years of driving experience
• At least one year supervisory experience 
• Computer and general office skills
• Employees are subject to criminal background check and drug test.
